It is with heavy hearts that we, the fam­ily, an­nounce the sud­den pass­ing of our hus­band, fa­ther, grand­fa­ther, great­grand­fa­ther, brother and un­cle, Clarence Bernard (Peter) Marsh, on Thurs­day, Fe­bru­ary 16, 2017, at the North­side Gen­eral Hospi­tal.

Born in Mill Creek on June 9, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Emma (Jes­some) Marsh.

Clarence worked for 35 years for Devco, at both the Prince and Princess Col­lieries.

He en­joyed gar­den­ing and fish­ing with his buddy Barry Buf­fett (Buffy).

Clarence is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 58 years, Au­drey Eileen (Betty) Marsh; sons, Blaine (Joanie) Marsh, South Shore, and Glen (Cheryl) Marsh, Hal­i­fax; daugh­ters, Heather (Billy) John­ston, Syd­ney Mines, and Ar­lene (Ge­orge) Pink, Mill Creek. Also sur­viv­ing are his brother, Louis (Norma) Marsh, Lit­tle Pond; a sis­ter, Mar­garet Har­ring­ton, On­tario, 10 grand­chil­dren, 11 great-grand­chil­dren, and his dog, Mickey.

Be­sides his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by his grand­son, Kobe Clarence Pink; brothers, Sylvester, Theodore, Wil­fred, James, Ger­ald, Tommy and Lawrence and sis­ters, Mar­cella, Mary, Regis, Eve­lyn, Marie and Emmaline.

The fam­ily would like to ex­tend their heart­felt grat­i­tude to Dr. Michel McKeough, and the nurs­ing staff, 4th and 5th floor, North­side Gen­eral Hospi­tal, for the care and com­pas­sion shown dur­ing his ill­ness.

There will be no vis­i­ta­tion. Cre­ma­tion has taken place.

A cel­e­bra­tion of his life will be held on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod of­fi­ci­at­ing.

A lun­cheon will fol­low in the par­ish hall.
