Cape Breton Post - - IN MEMORIAM -

With saddened hearts, we regret to announce the sudden passing of Greg Dion Demarco, age 39, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

The son of Kathy McGean and Greg Demarco, Dion was born in Sydney Mines on June 14, 1977.

From his early years as a young boy pedaling his bike up the street to his last days, he never backed down from any challenge that life put in front of him. Dion spent his adult years as a dedicated employee of Snow White Dry Cleaners. He loved life, his family and chil- dren “to the moon and back”. Whether near or far, his loved ones were always close in his heart.

Left to mourn Dion’s passing are his parents, and his children, Logan (Nick), Jordan, Chastity, Jeremy, Brandon, Alyssa and granddaughter, Aleah.

Dion is survived by brothers, Nick (Angela), Chris (Erin), both of Alberta; step-brother, Joey and step-sister, Marie. He is also survived by step-father, Dale; grandparents, Ethel Mae and Carmen Demarco and Christina (Boyd) Crews, Sydney Mines.

Dion was predeceased by his loving grandfather, role model and friend, Gerald “Jerry” Crews.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, from 7-9 p.m.
