Eleven participants took part in a guided snowshoe hike along the Franey Trail in Ingonish on Sunday as part of the Hike NS guided snowshoe hike series in partnership with Naturally Active for Life Victoria County. Participants hiked 14.5-km in five hours and 17 minutes. The guided snowshoe hiking series continues until March 12. Catherine MacDonald of Antigonish was one of the people who participated in a guided snowshoe hike to Uisge Ban Falls Provincial Park in Victoria County on Saturday as part of the Hike NS Winter series and the sixth annual Victoria County Winter ActivFest offered in partnership with Naturally Active For Life Victoria County. ActivFest offers a wide variety of community activities from suppers and ceilidhs to pub nights and square dance lessons.
