Eleven par­tic­i­pants took part in a guided snow­shoe hike along the Franey Trail in In­go­nish on Sun­day as part of the Hike NS guided snow­shoe hike series in part­ner­ship with Nat­u­rally Ac­tive for Life Vic­to­ria County. Par­tic­i­pants hiked 14.5-km in five hours and 17 min­utes. The guided snow­shoe hik­ing series con­tin­ues un­til March 12. Cather­ine Mac­Don­ald of Antigonish was one of the peo­ple who par­tic­i­pated in a guided snow­shoe hike to Uisge Ban Falls Pro­vin­cial Park in Vic­to­ria County on Satur­day as part of the Hike NS Win­ter series and the sixth an­nual Vic­to­ria County Win­ter Ac­tivFest of­fered in part­ner­ship with Nat­u­rally Ac­tive For Life Vic­to­ria County. Ac­tivFest of­fers a wide va­ri­ety of com­mu­nity ac­tiv­i­ties from sup­pers and ceilidhs to pub nights and square dance lessons.
