Card of Thanks MacDonald

- Linda, Sylvia, Baxter, Jim and Families

We, the family of the late Emma (Blan)

MacDonald, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you who were so kind to us during our recent loss.

To the paramedics who attended Mom at home and to Kollin Weatherbee and staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel, a simple thank you seems hardly enough to express how grateful we are for how you treated Mom and the whole family at this difficult time. We would like to thank the staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital who were involved in Mom’s care with a special thank you to the nursing staff of Unit 4B - you treated Mom with all the respect, professionalism and dignity that one could only hope to find; and you treated the family no differently - we always felt that you were there for us and no request that we made was too big or too small - we will always remember your kindness.

We would also like to express our thanks to: Rev. Dana Feltmate for his visitations at the hospital, at home and for conducting the service at the funeral home; to Kathleen Powell for the scripture reading; to Joella and Jim Foulds for their beautiful duet and to Flora Gardiner for providing such beautiful music for the service. Thanks also to the pallbearers: Reg Murray, Vernon Murray, Wes Heath, Tanya Murray, Kristin MacDonald and Diane MacDonald. A special thank you to Mike and the Staff at Celtic Colours Festival for the love and support given to Linda and her family and to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 151, Howie Centre for your visitations and support.

To those who came to visit with us at Sydney Memorial Chapel and to attend her funeral and to everyone who made memorial donations to various charities, donations of food, sent flowers, sympathy cards, e-mails or called to express their condolences, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all you’ve done to make dealing with Mom’s passing just a little easier to bear.
