New date for trial con­tin­u­ance

SYD­NEY — A new trial date has been set to con­tinue the trial for a Hal­i­fax County man fac­ing drink­ing and driv­ing charges.

Victor Wil­liam Rhyno, 48, of Har­ri­gan Cove, is charged with im­paired driv­ing, driv­ing with a blood-al­co­hol level ex­ceed­ing the le­gal limit, im­paired driv­ing caus­ing bodily harm, driv­ing with a blood-al­co­hol level over the limit caus­ing bodily harm, im­paired driv­ing caus­ing death and driv­ing with a blood-al­co­hol level over the limit caus­ing death. The charges stem from a sin­gle-ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent Aug. 1, 2014, on High­land Road in Vic­to­ria County that killed 59-year-old Mal­colm (Max) An­gus Fraser of Mid­dle River. Rhyno’s trial has al­ready be­gun and was sched­uled to con­tinue this week but has now been ad­journed un­til June 1.
