With heavy hearts, we re­gret to an­nounce the pass­ing of Richard Mac Isaac ‘Goolie’ of Up­per Grand Mira North Road on Fe­bru­ary 18th,

2017. Born Fe­bru­ary 5th, 1943, he was the son of the late Michael O’Han­d­ley and He­len MacIsaac O’Han­d­ley of Re­serve Mines.

He was known for his great sense of hu­mor and love for the out­doors in the coun­try where he spent his days with his lov­ing brother, Pat O’Han­d­ley. Richard worked as a vol­un­teer for a lo­cal saw mill for years be­fore re­tir­ing. He will be sadly missed by his fam­ily and friends, es­pe­cially those from the New Water­ford area in­clud­ing his many nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

He is sur­vived by his brother, Pat O’Han­d­ley; sis­ter-in-law, Carmella MacIsaac (Ricky); Denise and Mike MacIn­nis from Mira, Steve and Nicole MacIsaac, Michael and Char­maine Ho­gan, An­drew and Anita Digero, Mary Macdon­ald (Min­nie) and Dorothy Blon­deau, Hamil­ton, Ont.

He was pre­de­ceased by his brother, Joseph MacIsaac; sis­ters, MaryAnn MacIsaac and Mary O’Han­d­ley.

There will be a pri­vate cer­e­mony at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexan­dra St., Syd­ney.

In lieu of flow­ers can be made to char­ity of choice.
