Two ar­rested fol­low­ing Way­cobah drug bust

WAY­COBAH — Two Way­cobah res­i­dents are fac­ing charges af­ter po­lice seized a quan­tity of drugs dur­ing a re­cent search of a res­i­dence in the First Na­tions com­mu­nity.

The In­ver­ness Dis­trict RCMP re­ported that fol­low­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion its Street Crime En­force­ment Unit per­formed a search of a home and found mar­i­juana prod­ucts and oxy­codone pills. Brett Al­bert Wa­ters, 24, and Pa­tri­cia Bernard, 41, both of Way­cobah, were ar­rested fol­low­ing the seizure and sub­se­quently each was charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance.

They are sched­uled to ap­pear in Port Hawkes­bury pro­vin­cial court on March 27.
