Trial date set for Lunenburg County man on sex offence
SYDNEY — A Supreme Court trial date has been set for a Lunenburg County man facing a sex offence.
Don Ashley Johnson, 29, is charged with sexual assault with a weapon and unlawful confinement.
The offences are alleged to have occurred May 19, 2016, in Eskasoni. Johnson, a resident of Gold River, has elected to be tried by Supreme Court judge alone and will now stand trial beginning Feb. 26, 2018.
He continues his release on conditions.
