Reading was also a passion of Bernee’s that she shared with her grandchildren through many visits to the New Waterford Regional Library. She was an avid bowler who was the “President” of her Wednesday night bowling league. For many years, Bernee and her close friends enjoyed each other’s company during their weekly games of scat.

Bernee is survived by her husband, Pino Perin (New Waterford); her only daughter, Alanna (Kevin) Gallant (New Waterford); her three sons, Randy Perin (New Waterford), Joe Perin (Calgary) and David (Hectorine) Perin (New Waterford); grandchildren, Tammy (John), Tom (Amanda), Ryan (Natasha), Justine (Teagan) (Calgary), Joanna (Greg), Jason (New Waterford); great-grandchildren, Jillian, Cole, Will and Zander (Calgary). She is also survived by brothers, Frank (Mary) Reid (Baddeck) and Joe Reid (Ontario).

Besides her parents, Bernee was predeceased by her motherin-law, Corina (Crescenzi) Perin; father-in-law, Luigi Perin; daughter-in-law, Caroline (MacEachern) Perin; sisters, Peggy Anthony, Mary MacDonald, Agnes Hines, Ruth MacIsaac, Donna Higgins and brothers, Roddie Reid and Brian Reid.

Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow at a later date.

Bernee’s grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Bernee’s kind spirit, passion and zest for life will live on through them.
