Police investigating armed robbery in Sydney
SYDNEY — Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Circle K Irving location on George Street. Regional police responded to the incident around 3:51 a.m. on Sunday.
Police were told a male suspect entered the store with his face covered and armed with a weapon. The suspect demanded money from the clerk before he fled the scene on foot toward Townsend Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.
