It is with bro­ken hearts and Jean is sur­vived by her lov­ing deep sor­row that we the fam­ily hus­band, Henry; sons, Louis an­nounce the (Dar­lene), Stewiacke and Lenny pass­ing of (Jen­nie), Ottawa; daugh­ters, our dear wife, Laura Lee (Nor­man Carmichael), mother, grand­mother, Beaver Bank, NS and Lee great­grand­mother Anne (James Ran­dell), Go­drich, ON; sis­ters, Mar­i­lyn (Har­vey) and dear­est Mackie, Gar­diner Mines, and friend to many, Karen (Bob) Evans, Syd­ney-Glace Jean Porquet Bay Hwy; brother, James, on April Sur­rey, BC; sis­ter-in-law, Pasty; 28, 2017 at the Cape Bre­ton her grand­chil­dren whom she Re­gional Hos­pi­tal sur­rounded loved dearly, Michael, April, by her lov­ing fam­ily. Born in Glace Bay on Oc­to­ber Sarah, Krista, Me­gan and 4, 1939 she was the daugh­ter of Nicholas, Denika, and many the late Henry and Laura ‘Toot­sie’ great- grand­chil­dren, sev­eral (Ma­cLeod) Wrathall. nieces and neph­ews and her

Jean had worked for many two very spe­cial friends, Nippy years at the K-Mart, she en­joyed and Joy. cook­ing, bak­ing, bingo, casino, Be­sides her par­ents she trav­el­ing, her morn­ing cof­fee was also pre­de­ceased by her friends, and other com­pany as brother, Johnny; grand­son, John well but most im­por­tantly her and great- grand­son, Deck­lyn. fam­ily was ev­ery­thing to her. Cre­ma­tion has taken place and a chapel ser­vice to cel­e­brate Jean’s life will be held to­day, Mon­day, May 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dun­can Roach of­fi­ci­at­ing. A lun­cheon will be held at the K.O.C. and all are wel­come. Funeral ar­range­ments are un­der the di­rec­tion of McLel­lan Broth­ers Funeral Home, 3183 Plum­mer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
