Driver charged with stunt­ing in Port Hast­ings

PORT HAST­INGS — A 22-year-old man was charged with stunt­ing Wed­nes­day af­ter RCMP clocked him trav­el­ling more than 50 kilo­me­tres per hour over the posted speed limit.

The man was ob­served driv­ing 122 km/h in a 70 km/h zone in Port Hast­ing, In­ver­ness County, at 9:45 a.m.

The driver was fined $2,422.50, his li­cence was sus­pended for seven days and his ve­hi­cle was seized un­der the Nova Sco­tia Mo­tor Ve­hi­cle Act.

RCMP are ask­ing the pub­lic to re­port un­safe driv­ing by call­ing RCMP at 1-800-803-RCMP (7267) or 911.
