Piovesan gets PC nod in Cape Breton Centre
NEW WATERFORD — Louie Piovesan will be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Cape Breton Centre in the May 30 provincial election. Piovesan, a lifelong resident of New Waterford, works for the Cape Breton Municipality and is active in the local labour movement. “Nova Scotians need to see change, we’re lacking in the provincial leadership necessary for our province to move forward,” said Piovesan. “I hear from community members who are tired of hearing excuses. The current Liberal government says there’s no money to invest, but on the eve of an election the premier is blowing through taxpayers money, enough is enough.” Piovesan has the passion, the drive and the commitment to represent the people of Cape Breton Centre, said PC leader Jamie Baillie, in a new release.
