Bail hear­ing set for pair fac­ing drug charges

SYD­NEY — Two men from Do­min­ion were re­manded Fri­day after be­ing charged with drug of­fences.

Al­lan Ja­son Par­son, 20, of Neville Street, is charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in­volv­ing co­caine and mar­i­juana. He also faces a sin­gle count of pos­ses­sion of hashish.

Tan­ner Pickup, 19, of Ocean Street, is charged with pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in co­caine.

Both ac­cused were ar­rested Thurs­day after po­lice stopped a ve­hi­cle on King Street in Do­min­ion.

Mem­bers of the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Po­lice street crime unit and RCMP drug sec­tion later ex­e­cuted a search war­rant at the Neville Street res­i­dence seiz­ing a large quan­tity of co­caine, mar­i­juana, hashish and drug para­pher­na­lia. Both made brief court ap­pear­ances Fri­day and were re­manded over the weekend pend­ing the out­come of bail hear­ings now set for Mon­day.
