SEA DOGS OPEN PRES­I­DENT’S CUP SE­RIES WITH WIN

The Saint John Sea Dogs are off to a good start in the QMJHL’s Pres­i­dent Cup fi­nal against the Blainville-Bois­briand Ar­mada. The Sea Dogs dou­bled the Ar­mada 6-3 at Har­bour Sta­tion on Fri­day. Julien Gau­thier and Matthew High­more had two goals each for the Sea Dogs while Mathieu Joseph and Nathan Noel added sin­gle goals for Saint John. TJ Me­lan­con net­ted two goals for the Ar­mada, while Mor­gan Adams-Moisan also chipped in with a goal. Game 2 of the se­ries goes tonight at 7 p.m. in Saint John.
