Beloved husband, father and grandfather Gene Chaisson passed away on May 7, 2017 surrounded by his grieving family at his home in Woodbridge, Virginia.
He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 7, 1933 to Marie (Healy) Chaisson Murphy and Alexander Lawrence Chaisson.
Educated in Halifax Catholic schools and Nova Scotia College of Pharmacy he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in 1957, where he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring after 21 years of distinguished service. Gene also served one tour of duty in Viet Nam from 1972-1973 for which he received both an Air Medal and the Bronze Star.
Married to Anne (King) Chaisson of Sydney Mines, Cape Breton since 1958, they lived in locations all over the U.S. Gene and Anne also served two tours of duty overseas when Anne worked at the U.S Embassies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Singapore from 1987-1991.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anne; son, Robert Chaisson; beloved daughter, Karen Chaisson; two fabulous grandchildren, Anthony Feiner; his very special princess, Briana (Feiner) Meraz; and a grand son-in-law, Max Meraz.
A private burial will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017 at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.
