Jays slug­ger Morales day to day with ham­string strain

Toronto Blue Jays slug­ger Kendrys Morales will be reeval­u­ated later this week af­ter suf­fer­ing a ham­string strain in Tues­day’s loss to the Cleve­land In­di­ans. Morales left the game af­ter ex­pe­ri­enc­ing dis­com­fort in his left leg when he grounded out in the fourth in­ning. He un­der­went an MRI exam Wed­nes­day, with man­ager John Gib­bons call­ing it a mi­nor in­jury.

The 33-year-old slug­ger leads the Blue Jays with six home runs and 20 RBIs this sea­son. He has a .244 bat­ting av­er­age and a .727 OPS (on­base plus slug­ging).
