Scotchtown woman to undergo assessment
SYDNEY — A Scotchtown woman charged earlier this week with assault offences is to undergo a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.
Jocelyn Arlene Fahey, 42, of Cashin Crescent, is charged with assault, aggravated assault and breaching a court order. The offences involve a male complainant and were alleged to have been committed May 9 in Scotchtown.
The assessment, which will determine Fahey’s fitness to stand trial and criminal responsibility, will be carried out at the East Coast Forensic Hospital in Dartmouth.
Fahey is now to return to court June 8.
