New Water­ford

It is with sad­ness that we an­nounce the peaceful pass­ing of our mother, Glo­ria Delores Lynk, in her 94th year, at the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hospi­tal, Syd­ney, May 11, 2017 with her fam­ily by her side.

Born and raised in New Water­ford, Ma was the daugh­ter of the late An­thony and Mary (McNeil) Manzine.

In her younger years, Ma loved gar­den­ing, bak­ing, and mak­ing great Ital­ian meals. Ev­ery sum­mer she looked for­ward to camp­ing at San­ga­ree Is­land; she loved na­ture and all it had to of­fer.

She is sur­vived by her sons, John (Dar­lene), Rus­sell (Margie), Len­nie (Sheila), Alex (Josie), Charles (Mary) and Kevin; daugh­ters, Karen (Phil), Glo­ria (Nick), Judy (Boyd), Donna (Terry), and Mary (Byron); sis­ter-in-law, June and brother-in­law, Ed­die; 28 grand­chil­dren; 38 great-grand­chil­dren; four great­great-grand­chil­dren.

Glo­ria was pre­de­ceased by her daugh­ter, Kay (Tony); sons, Barry and Rodger; sis­ters, Mar­garet, Marie, Della, and Sadie.

At her re­quest, there will be no visi­ta­tion. Cre­ma­tion has taken place un­der the care and di­rec­tion of V.J. McGil­livray Fu­neral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Water­ford. A grave­side ser­vice will be held in St. Agnes Ceme­tery, New Water­ford, at a later date. It is with heavy hearts that the fam­ily of Rose ‘Marie’ Ki­ley an­nounces her pass­ing on Thurs­day, May 11, 2017 at the Oro­mocto Pub­lic Hospi­tal.

Born in Syd­ney, Cape Bre­ton, NS, she was the daugh­ter of the late Si­mon and Marie Jean (Mar­tel) Samp­son.

Marie is sur­vived by her lov­ing hus­band, Pa­trick of Swan Creek, NB; a son, Bruce Ki­ley (Brenda) of Hal­i­fax, NS; daugh­ters, Tr­ish Ki­ley (Alex MacLel­lan) of Palmetto, FL and Jaime Estabrooks (Robert) of French Lake, NB; grand­daugh­ters, Melissa Ki­ley, Jen­nifer Con­nolly and Emma Estabrooks; four broth­ers; three sis­ters, and sev­eral cousins, nieces and neph­ews.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Marie was pre­de­ceased by two sis­ters.

There will be a visi­ta­tion at the Oro­mocto Fu­neral Home on Mon­day, May 15, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A Me­mo­rial Mass will be held on Tues­day, May 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Vin­cent de Paul Catholic Church in Oro­mocto, NB. In­ter­ment will take place at a later date.
