Billy Ray Cyrus com­ing to P.E.I.

Cavendish Beach Mu­sic Fes­ti­val adds well-known name

Billy Ray Cyrus will be play­ing at the Cavendish Beach Mu­sic Fes­ti­val this sum­mer.

He will be part of a lineup at what or­ga­niz­ers call the Cavendish Farms kitchen stage.

Event or­ga­niz­ers un­veiled Thurs­day a new list of artists that will be play­ing at this area of the fes­ti­val.

Join­ing Cyrus will be Amanda Ri­ley, DJ Bad Ash, Eloie Richard, EmiSun­shine, End­less Sum­mer, Ja­son Price, JJ Shiplett, Rawl­ins Cross, Rik Reese, Sykamore, The Good Broth­ers, The Love­locks, The Moun­tain Faith Band, The Stan­fields, TJ King and Tony Jack­son.

Some of those will also per­form for a free, fam­ily-friendly party to get the fes­ti­val un­der­way. Called the tail­gate party, it will be held Thurs­day, July 6 from 6 to 10 p.m.

It will in­clude per­for­mances by DJ Bad Ash, John­son Crook, John King and Moun­tain Faith Band.

Chef Shaun O’Neale will also be at the fes­ti­val, pre­par­ing food for pa­trons. He is the sea­son seven win­ner of the Amer­i­can MasterChef show.

The an­nounce­ment Thurs­day also in­cluded ad­di­tional names for the main stage.

They are An­drew Hy­att, Lu­cas Hoge, MaKayla Lynn and Port Cities.
