Sydney man facing drug charges
SYDNEY — Drugs, pepper spray and stolen property were seized when a 49-year-old man was arrested on Ingoville Street on Friday.
The Cape Breton Regional and the RCMP arrested the Sydney man after search warrant was executed and police seized hydromorphone tablets, pepper spray, stolen property and drug paraphernalia. The accused has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre and will appear in Sydney provincial court today.
He’ll face charges that include possession for the purpose of trafficking in hydromorphone, possession of an unauthorized weapon (pepper spray), two counts of possession of stolen property, four counts of breaching a recognizance order and one count of breaching a probation order.
