It is with bro­ken hearts that we an­nounce the pass­ing of our Joe MacMullin 61, Fri­day, May 12, 2017 sur­rounded by his fam­ily at the Glace Bay Hospi­tal af­ter a brief ill­ness.

Born in Glace Bay Joe was the son on the late Rod & Tina (MacDon­ald) MacMullin.

Joe was a lov­ing Hus­band, Fa­ther, Grand Da & Friend who love with all his heart. He spent 25 yrs. in the Mil­i­tary serv­ing 23 yrs. as a Mil­i­tary Po­lice Of­fi­cer, re­tir­ing from CFB Green­wood in 1995.

Joe is sur­vived by the love of his life & best friend, his wife of 43 yrs., Camille (Wil­son); his only daugh­ter, Stacy (Ja­son) Turn­bull and his “two boys” the pride & joy of his life, his grand­sons, Justin and Jor­dan Turn­bull. Joe is also sur­vived by two sis­ters, Ann (Billy) Boozan, Win­nie (the late Mike) Chafe; two broth­ers, An­dre (Ar­lene) MacMullin, Jim (Sharon) MacMullin; sis­ters-in-law, Trudy Tracey, Mitzie (Jake) Ma­cLean, Sheilah White (Rae MacMil­lan); brother-in-law, Jr (Theresa) Wil­son; along with nu­mer­ous nieces & neph­ews.

Be­sides his par­ents, Joe is pre­de­ceased by his brother, Sonny MacMullin; his mother-in-law, Marie Wil­son and lov­ing nephew, Jamie Boozan.

Ar­range­ments for cre­ma­tion have been en­trusted to T.J. Tracey Cre­ma­tion and Burial Spe­cial­ists, 370 Re­serve St., Glace Bay, 902-849-4199, from were a cel­e­bra­tion of Joe’s life will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11a.m., in the fu­neral home chapel.

Spe­cial Thanks to the staff of 3E & 3W of the Glace Bay Hospi­tal, es­pe­cially Adrian who Joe made a spe­cial con­nec­tion with, Dr. Jamie Ma­cLean, the Dr.’s, Nurses & staff of the Cape Bre­ton Cancer Cen­tre, Pal­lia­tive Care, VON, the many Paramedics, who drove Joe back and forth and Spe­cial Friends, Rosella & Wayne.
