It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Joe MacMullin 61, Friday, May 12, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Glace Bay Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Glace Bay Joe was the son of the late Rod & Tina (MacDonald) MacMullin.
Joe was a loving Husband, Father, Grand Da and Friend who loved with all his heart. He spent 25 years in the Military serving 23 years as a Military Police Officer, retiring from CFB Greenwood in 1995.
Joe is survived by the love of his life and best friend, his wife of 43 years, Camille (Wilson); his only daughter, Stacy (Jason) Turnbull and his two grandsons, the pride and joy of his life, Justin and Jordan Turnbull. Joe is also survived by two sisters, Ann (Billy) Boozan, Winnie (the late Mike) Chafe; two brothers, Andre (Arlene) MacMullin, Jim (Sharon) MacMullin; sisters-in-law, Trudy Tracey, Mitzie (Jack) MacLean, Sheilah White (Ray MacMillan) and brother-in-law, Jr (Theresa) Wilson; along with numerous nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents, Joe is predeceased by his brother, Sonny MacMullin; his motherin-law, Marie Wilson and loving nephew, Jamie Boozan.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, 902-849-4199, from where a celebration of Joe’s life will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11a.m., in the funeral home chapel.

Special Thanks to the staff of 3E and 3W of the Glace Bay Hospital, especially Adrian who Joe made a special connection with, Dr. Jamie MacLean, the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, Palliative Care, VON, the many Paramedics who transported Joe back and forth and Special Friends Rosella & Wayne.
