Syd­ney ac­cused de­nied bail

SYD­NEY — A Syd­ney man has been de­nied bail af­ter breach­ing his re­lease con­di­tions on drug charges by con­tin­u­ing to sell drugs.

Robert Francis Ben­nett, 49, is now to re­turn to pro­vin­cial court June 8 to en­ter pleas.

Ben­nett and a co-ac­cused were charged April 3 with three counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in­volv­ing co­caine, mar­i­juana and hy­dro­mor­phone.

The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred at a res­i­dence on In­goville Street in Syd­ney.

Both were re­leased on con­di­tions and are to en­ter pleas June 8.

Ben­nett was again charged May 12 with pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in hy­dro­mor­phone af­ter po­lice searched a home on In­goville.

He is also charged with pos­ses­sion of an unau­tho­rized weapon (pep­per spray), two counts of pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty and five counts of breach­ing court or­ders.
