Sydney accused denied bail
SYDNEY — A Sydney man has been denied bail after breaching his release conditions on drug charges by continuing to sell drugs.
Robert Francis Bennett, 49, is now to return to provincial court June 8 to enter pleas.
Bennett and a co-accused were charged April 3 with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking involving cocaine, marijuana and hydromorphone.
The offences are alleged to have occurred at a residence on Ingoville Street in Sydney.
Both were released on conditions and are to enter pleas June 8.
Bennett was again charged May 12 with possession for the purpose of trafficking in hydromorphone after police searched a home on Ingoville.
He is also charged with possession of an unauthorized weapon (pepper spray), two counts of possession of stolen property and five counts of breaching court orders.
