CELTICS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT MINI COAL BOWL TITLE
The New Waterford Celtics won their third straight Mini Coal Bowl title at Greenfield Elementary School in River Ryan last Saturday. The Celtics defeated the Riverview Sonic Red 61-41 in the championship game. Celtics forward Eric Rutledge was named the tournament’s most valuable player, while Derek Loro, also of the Celtics, was given the Jonathan Syms Memorial Hustle Award. In other action, in the division ‘B’ championship game, the Northside Marauders 1 beat the New Waterford Magic. Score results were not available for that game.
