Drug charges dis­missed against Antigo­nish man

SYD­NEY — Drug charges against an Antigo­nish man were dis­missed Mon­day dur­ing a pro­vin­cial court ap­pear­ance. Marco Chris­tian Wood, 43, was charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in mar­i­juana and hashish. He was also charged with two counts of traf­fick­ing in­volv­ing the same drugs. Wood was sched­uled to stand trial on the charges in July. He was among 24 peo­ple ar­rested in 2013 as part of a 13month RCMP in­ves­ti­ga­tion into drug traf­fick­ing in eastern Nova Sco­tia.
