North Sydney man facing two sex offences
SYDNEY — A 47-year-old North Sydney man is to return to provincial court in June to enter pleas on charges that include sex offences.
Charles Plowman is charged with two counts of sexual assault and a single count of assault. The offences involve a female complainant and are alleged to have occurred between May 16-19 in North Sydney.
Plowman was released from custody Friday after posting $5,500 bail in both property and cash. Among the conditions of his release, Plowman is to live in Sydney Mines and have no contact with the complainant.
He is also not allowed to possess any weapons and must refrain from alcohol and drugs not prescribed to him by a physician. He is also to abide by a curfew and report to Cape Breton Regional Police by phone, once a week.
He is now to return to court June 21 for plea.
