PRINCE CROWNED BOXER OF NIGHT
It was a big night for hometown fighter Josh Prince (above). The 17-year-old Tri-Town boxer from Georges River took home a unanimous decision win and was named fighter of the night at his club’s Fight Night Round 4 on Saturday at the Emera Centre Northside, beating Tamimi Jorche of Halifax’s Citadel Boxing. In the co-main event, Prince’s Tri-Town teammate Matthew MacDonald dropped the co-main event against Ring 73’s Aaron Christiansen of Gardiner Mines. In other bouts, Ryan Collier of TriTown won by unanimous decision over James Thorne of N.L., while Kaleb Jessome Tri-Town lost by referee stoppage to Kyle Woodworth of Membertou, Mason MacKeigan Tri-Town beat Riley Shaheen of Albion Boxing by splitdecision, and Thomas Foster if Tri-Town dropped unanimous decision loss to Gary Woodburn of Membertou.
