Cars dam­aged, en­tered on Syd­ney Mines street

SYD­NEY MINES — Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Po­lice are seek­ing the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance af­ter sev­eral ve­hi­cles were dam­aged on Lorne Street last week.

Po­lice are re­port­ing that three ve­hi­cles were “keyed” and en­tered at three dif­fer­ent lo­ca­tions on the Syd­ney Mines street some­time af­ter 1 a.m. on May 25.

The ve­hi­cles that were parked overnight were marked with var­i­ous sym­bols, marks and words. Video footage at 15 Lorne St. shows two in­di­vid­u­als en­ter­ing the park­ing lot at 1:02 a.m., pro­ceed­ing to mul­ti­ple parked ve­hi­cles and then quickly ex­it­ing the park­ing lot at 1:04 a.m. Cars were also en­tered and dam­aged at 4 Lorne St. and 5 Lorne St. that same night.
