Fines issued on drug possession
SYDNEY — Two people facing drug trafficking charges pleaded guilty Tuesday to reduced offences and were issued fines.
Kimberly Ann Whitty, 37, of Caledonia Street, North Sydney, and David Dean Graham, 36, of Kitchener Street, Sydney, were jointly charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and hydromorphone) and a single count of possession of marijuana.
Whitty is also facing two counts of breaching court orders while Graham faces a single count of breach.
The offences were alleged to have occurred Jan. 19, 2016, in North Sydney. Graham pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine and hydromorphone while Whitty pleaded guilty to a single count of possession. Graham was fined a total of $726 and placed on probation for one-year. Whitty was fined $263 and also ordered to complete a one-year probation period.
