Cpl. James MacLel­lan of Glace Bay put in a strong show­ing at the Ot­tawa Marathon on Sunday. He fin­ished in a time of two hours, 36 min­utes and 57 sec­onds to place 47th in the men’s race out of 3,368 runners. He also placed 19th out of 361 runners in the men’s 30-34 cat­e­gory. The 30-year-old was the sec­ond fastest run­ner on Canada’s In­ter­na­tional Mil­i­tary Sports Coun­cil (CISM) team.
