Bobby is a grad­u­ate of the bach­e­lor of busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion de­gree pro­gram from Cape Bre­ton Univer­sity.

While at CBU, he was the Stu­dents’ Union Pres­i­dent for two con­sec­u­tive years and highly in­volved in en­rich­ing stu­dent life. Bobby has served as a mem­ber of CBU Alumni As­so­ci­a­tion board of di­rec­tors for sev­eral years and was a mem­ber of the ex­ec­u­tive team in­clud­ing a term as pres­i­dent. Bobby is a past mem­ber of the Board of Gover­nors and is no stranger to work­ing on sub­com­mit­tees that as­sist the univer­sity and com­mu­nity at large.

Af­ter com­plet­ing his de­gree he be­gan work with House­hold Fi­nance in Hal­i­fax, he later moved back to Syd­ney with the same of­fice un­til he ac­cepted a job With TD Canada Trust as a Fi­nan­cial Ad­vi­sor/ Man­ager of cus­tomer sales and ser­vice. In 2003 he was hired as Gen­eral

Man­ager of Whit­ney Credit Union, a po­si­tion he held for three years.

In 2006 he was hired as branch man­ager of League Sav­ings and Mort­gage in Syd­ney where he had a very suc­cess­ful ca­reer un­til head­ing back to TD Canada Trust where he now works as their in­de­pen­dent Mort­gage Spe­cial­ist.

Bobby re­sides in Syd­ney River with his wife Gian Miller (BSc’92) and twin boys Ethan and Calan.

Bobby cred­its CBU with pro­vid­ing him with a solid foun­da­tion on which to build his ca­reer. And he of­ten lives by the school motto “Per­se­ver­ance Will Tri­umph.”
