Bobby is a graduate of the bachelor of business administration degree program from Cape Breton University.
While at CBU, he was the Students’ Union President for two consecutive years and highly involved in enriching student life. Bobby has served as a member of CBU Alumni Association board of directors for several years and was a member of the executive team including a term as president. Bobby is a past member of the Board of Governors and is no stranger to working on subcommittees that assist the university and community at large.
After completing his degree he began work with Household Finance in Halifax, he later moved back to Sydney with the same office until he accepted a job With TD Canada Trust as a Financial Advisor/ Manager of customer sales and service. In 2003 he was hired as General
Manager of Whitney Credit Union, a position he held for three years.
In 2006 he was hired as branch manager of League Savings and Mortgage in Sydney where he had a very successful career until heading back to TD Canada Trust where he now works as their independent Mortgage Specialist.
Bobby resides in Sydney River with his wife Gian Miller (BSc’92) and twin boys Ethan and Calan.
Bobby credits CBU with providing him with a solid foundation on which to build his career. And he often lives by the school motto “Perseverance Will Triumph.”
