NEVILLE NAMED MINERS MVP

Team captain Shaun Neville (above) was named the Kameron Junior Miners team MVP for the 2016-17 season during the team’s awards banquet held last week. Nolan Smith finished as top scorer with 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists), while Dan Reid was named rookie of the year. Kelly Yates won the hardest working player award, while Brandon Farrell took the coach’s award. The player’s choice honour went to Chris Osmond. Graduating players Neville, Kyle Peck, Mark Gouthro and Nick Walsh were also recognized.
