A coming of age kitchen party production at Ship’s Company Theatre
PARRSBORO — A Heist production named “New Waterford Boy: A Ceilidh” is coming alive for two shows only at the Ship’s Company Theatre in Parrsboro, Cumberland County.
The show touches on identity, culture, upbringing, coming of age and coming home. Richie Wilcox, the writer and star of the show, uses traditional Cape Breton music in a kitchen party style to bring this production together. Wilcox found his first rise in fame when he became a finalist on the first Canadian Idol television show. “New Waterford Boy: A Ceilidh” runs Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m.. and features Wilcox, Aaron Collier, Lynn MacIntyre, Sarah Richardson and Brian Talbot.
