New Waterford accused released on conditions
SYDNEY — A New Waterford man has been released on conditions after being charged with drug offences.
David Craig Morin, 43, of Heelan Street, is charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The drugs involved are cocaine, marijuana, hashish, Ritalin and shatter (a highly concentrated marijuana oil). Morin was arrested at his home in New Waterford after Cape Breton Regional Police executed a warrant.
Morin posted $10,000 in cash bail to secure his release and must adhere to several conditions. The conditions include abstaining from alcohol and drugs not prescribed him by a physician, he is to report, by phone, once a week to regional police and is not allowed to possess a cellphone or pager.
He is now to enter pleas to the charges Aug. 30.
