Boularderie ac­cused to plea to fraud and forgery charges

SYD­NEY — A Boularderie man is to re­turn to pro­vin­cial court at the end of the month to en­ter pleas on fraud and forgery charges.

Kevin B. Lap­pin, 54, of Dundee Drive, is charged with ut­ter­ing a forged doc­u­ment, a Province of Al­berta qual­i­fi­ca­tion cer­tifi­cate for a jour­ney­man iron worker, pos­ses­sion of a forged doc­u­ment, ut­ter­ing a forged doc­u­ment and fraud by earn­ing more than $250,000 in wages based on a forged cer­tifi­cate.

The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred in Ed­mon­ton in Septem­ber 2015. Lap­pin is now to en­ter pleas to the charges Aug. 28.
