Point Aconi ac­cused fac­ing drug charges elects trial mode

SYD­NEY — A Point Aconi man fac­ing two drug of­fences has elected to be tried by a Supreme Court judge and jury.

Roy Ed­ward Ma­cLean, 60, is charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing in­volv­ing hy­dro­mor­phone and dex­troam­phetamine.

The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred last Oct. 27 in Point Aconi. Ma­cLean is now sched­uled to have a pre­lim­i­nary hearing on the charges Jan. 3. He con­tin­ues his re­lease on con­di­tions
