Koen Sum­mers, 9, of Syd­ney grins as his face is painted to look like his teddy bear Harold dur­ing the Syd­ney Water­front Fes­ti­val teddy bear pic­nic Wed­nes­day evening at Went­worth Park in Syd­ney. The event also in­cluded out­door games, mu­sic by Vanna White in char­ac­ter as Elsa from the movie “Frozen” and a sta­tion where kids could have their stuffed friends checked out by teddy bears doc­tors. It was fol­lowed by an out­door screen­ing of the movie “Find­ing Dory” in the park band­shell. The Syd­ney Water­front Fes­ti­val, which runs un­til Sun­day, con­tin­ues to­day with sev­eral events, in­clud­ing a Harry Pot­ter Wizard­ing Fair at St. Pa­trick’s Church from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., the fi­nal night of the Makin’ Waves Mu­sic Fes­ti­val at Went­worth Park fea­tur­ing Cur­tis Mathe­son, Lau­renn Marc­hand and Cody De­gaust from 6-8:30 p.m., and the night light pa­rade which will begin to wind through down­town Syd­ney at 9 p.m.
