Eska­soni man as­signed two court dates

SYD­NEY — A 34-year-old Eska­soni man, charged with 19 of­fences, was as­signed two pro­vin­cial court dates Fri­day.

Jay Matthew Den­nis, 34, is to ap­pear in pro­vin­cial court in Port Hawkes­bury on Aug. 10 and in pro­vin­cial court in Syd­ney Aug. 30. Both dates are to en­ter pleas.

Den­nis is charged with seven counts of breach­ing court or­ders, two counts of ut­ter­ing threats and sin­gle counts of drug pos­ses­sion, car­ry­ing a con­cealed weapon, unau­tho­rized pos­ses­sion of a weapon, pos­ses­sion of a re­stricted weapon, pos­ses­sion of a weapon for a dan­ger­ous pur­pose, as­sault with a weapon, break and en­ter, un­law­fully be­ing in a dwelling, mis­chief and forcible con­fine­ment. Den­nis was re­leased Fri­day on a host of con­di­tions.
