It is with great sad­ness we an­nounce the pass­ing of Thomas E. Haw­ley, on Sun­day, Au­gust 6, 2017, at Buchanan Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal, Neil’s Har­bour, sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily.

Born in Neil’s Har­bour, he was the son of Cassie (Keddy) Haw­ley and the late Alex Haw­ley.

Thomas lived in In­go­nish and en­joyed watch­ing the Mon­treal Cana­di­ens, hunt­ing, fish­ing, lis­ten­ing to mu­sic and do­ing cross­word puz­zles. He fished for many years and worked on the golf course un­til his re­tire­ment.

Thomas is sur­vived by his mother, Cassie; his wife, Mary (Whitty) Haw­ley; his chil­dren, Gene (Eileen), Lori (Richard), Terri (Shane), Ja­son (Mar­garet) and Chris­tine (Clayton). Also sur­viv­ing are his three broth­ers, Mal­colm (Delores), Frank and Barry; five sis­ters, Deb­bie (Ed­win), Shirley (Dun­can), Patti (Glen), Betty (Cor­nelius), Linda (Stephen); six­teen grand­chil­dren and four great grand­chil­dren, who were the pride of his life.

Be­sides his fa­ther Alex, he was pre­de­ceased by his sib­lings, Shirley, Al­fred and Robert.

There will be no vis­i­ta­tion by re­quest. A Fu­neral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 9, 2017, at St. Peter Church, In­go­nish with Fr. Lazarus of­fi­ci­at­ing.
