New chapter for Cape Breton architects
SYDNEY — Licensed and intern architects residing or working in Cape Breton have been handed their own chapter in the Nova Scotia Association of Architects.
Association president Gregory MacNeil said the creation of three new chapters is part of an initiative to build an enhanced awareness of the services and architect provides in terms of public interest and safety.
The Cape Breton chapter will be cochaired by local architect Spyro Trifos. The other new chapters are Annapolis Valley and the South Shore.
The Cape Breton chapter is now organizing activities for the second annual Architecture Week, Oct. 2-7.
