Trial date assigned to Sydney man facing assault, drug charges
SYDNEY — A Sydney man was assigned a trial date Wednesday on drug and assault charges.
David Joseph Goyan, 42, of Dorchester Street, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (involving hydromorphone) that allegedly occurred April 6 in Sydney.
He is also facing charges of assaulting a police officer, carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace (a metal pipe), and breaching a court order. The offences allegedly occurred May 4 in Sydney.
Goyan entered not guilty pleas and was assigned a trial date of April 9. He continues his release on conditions.
