It is with deep sad­ness that we an­nounce the sud­den pass­ing of Eve­lyn (Cle­ments) Turner, age 66, at her res­i­dence in Glace Bay on Sun­day, Au­gust 6, 2017.

Evie was the daugh­ter of the late James and Mil­dred (Jewells) Cle­ments. She was a very com­pas­sion­ate lady who loved chil­dren.

Evie is sur­vived by her sis­ter, June Mil­ley (Terry), Saint John, NB; daugh­ter, Jean­nine Cle­ments, Syd­ney; her niece, Madi­son Mil­ley; nephew, Jar­ryd Mil­ley; great nephew, Zan­der Mil­ley, all in Saint John, NB, whom she loved dearly and had a spe­cial place in her heart for them. Evie is also sur­vived by her part­ner, David Byrne, Glace Bay.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Sun­day, Au­gust 13 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGil­livray Fu­neral Home, 16 Re­serve St., Glace Bay. The fu­neral ser­vice, of­fi­ci­ated by Rev. Myrna MacMullin is Mon­day at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Angli­can Church, Glace Bay fol­lowed by a re­cep­tion. Cre­ma­tion will take place af­ter the fu­neral ser­vice.
