Lin­gan Golf and Coun­try Club mem­ber Bill Burns (above) has moved into a tie for third place at the Nova Sco­tia men’s se­nior golf cham­pi­onship in Truro. Burns carded a 5-over-par 76 on Thurs­day to sit at 9 over, four strokes back of leader Stephen Locke of Truro. Other lo­cal golfers com­pet­ing in­clude: Seav­iew’s Carey Boozan (tied 27th, +17); Ernie Sheaves, Bell Bay (tied 46th, +20); Dar­rell Syms, Lin­gan (tied 57th, +22); Billy Marsh, Lin­gan (tied 77th, +26) and Ron Rankin, Le Portage (tied 88th, +29). Play con­cludes to­day.
