Rich­mond Villa, St. Peters af­ter a ten year bat­tle with pro­gres­sive supranu­clear palsy.

Marie left Glen­coe Sta­tion in her late teens; she lived and worked in Toronto, Bos­ton, San Fran­cisco and Detroit, and re­turned to Cape Bre­ton to work in the of­fices of Sydney Steel and later Stora For­est In­dus­tries, Point Tup­per from where she re­tired af­ter 25 years.

She is sur­vived by her brothers, John Don­ald (Rose), Judique and Alex, Sydney, D.A., North Sydney, Cyril (Claire), Fall River; sis­ter-in-law, An­gela Cameron, Ajax, ON; sis­ter, Jessie (Reg­gie) Daye, Craig­more; sons, Ray Cameron, Hills­bor­ough and Dana Ma­cLean, Wind­sor; beloved grand­chil­dren, Alec Ma­cLean, Truro and Jadea MacNeil, Port Hawkes­bury; nieces, Kate Cameron, Toronto, Michelle Cameron, Hal­i­fax, Deb­bie Shad­lock, New­mar­ket, Judy (Glen) MacNeil, Te­cum­seh, ON and Tara Beaton (Doug Hrece­niuk ), Kitch­ener, ON; neph­ews, Cameron Beaton, St. John’s, NL, Lorne Beaton, Etobicoke, ON and Stu­art (Pauline) Cameron, Toronto, and three grand­nieces, Ri­ley, Breagh and Madi­son.

Marie was pre­de­ceased by brother, John Al­lan and for­mer hus­band, (and for­ever friend) Fabian Ma­cLean.

Spe­cial thanks to the staff of Rich­mond Villa and Her­itage House, Port Hood for the ex­cel­lent care given to Marie, you are all an­gels in dis­guise. Cre­ma­tion has taken place, there will be no visi­ta­tion. Fu­neral Mass will be of­fered Mon­day Au­gust 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Stella Maris Ro­man Catholic Church, Creignish with Rev. Hugh D. MacDon­ald pre­sid­ing. Burial to fol­low in the Parish Ceme­tery.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to Stella Maris Ceme­tery Fund or a char­ity of choice.

Fu­neral ar­range­ments are un­der the di­rec­tion of Green’s Fu­neral Home, Port Hawkes­bury.
