It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Blair Caume at home on September 13, 2017.

Born in Reserve Mines, Blair was the son of the late Raymond and Vera Caume.

Blair will be sadly missed by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Debbie (Mark); sons, Blair (Leah) and David (Justice). He is also survived by sisters, Louise, Muriel (Murray), Valerie (Steve); brothers, John (Aurora), Jerry (Karen), Wayne, Dale (Cathy), and Dana (Carol). Blair will be missed by his grandchildren, Jasmine, Brittney, Bianca, Laurelle, Nathan, Jillian, Jacqueline; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Blair was predeceased by his brother, Ray; granddaughter, Emily; father-inlaw, Roy; mother-in-law, Ruby and nephew, Greg.

Blair worked at Sydney Steel for 30 years and upon its closure he was employed for Commissionaires, Nova Scotia working at Sydney Airport. He truly enjoyed this position as he got to meet many people from Cape Breton and abroad.

Blair was involved with the Legion for a period of time where he held positions of Zone Commander and President of Reserve Mines Legion Branch 2. Blair was also an avid collector; he enjoyed looking for that hidden treasure.

In keeping with Blair’s wishes there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS 902-849-4199.
