Two face drug charges after New Waterford search
NEW WATERFORD — Police seized Ritalin, hydromorphone and marijuana during a search of St. Joseph Street home on Wednesday night.
As a result a 28-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in methylphenidate, possession for the purpose of trafficking in hydromorphone, trafficking in methylphenidate, and possession of marijuana.
The man and woman were arrested at the scene, but have been released from custody and will appear in court a later date. The Cape Breton Regional Police Service and Royal Canadian Mounted Police integrated drug unit conducted the search at the New Waterford address.
