Nominations for human rights awards sought
SYDNEY — The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission is looking nominees for its 2017 Human Rights awards. Individuals and groups are being sought for consideration for the annual awards presented by the commission and Partners for Human Rights. Recipients are chosen in three categories — youth, individual and organization.
Deadline for nominations is Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be announced on Dec. 8 during the province’s International Human Rights Day celebrations.
