Government officials to discuss One Nova Scotia progress
SYDNEY — Representatives from Cape Breton Regional Municipality’s municipal, provincial and federal orders of government and First Nations are meeting on Tuesday at Cape Breton University for a roundtable discussion about the region’s successes and challenges in working toward the goals of the One Nova Scotia report.
As part of CBRM’s 100 Positive Changes Plan, an annual meeting will be hosted by CBRM council, with invited members of the Legislature and members of Parliament, to discuss the region’s progress on the One Nova Scotia (Now or Never) report goals.
Tom Urbaniak will lead the roundtable discussion, touching on the report’s 19 goals and 12 game-changing strategies.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. The meeting takes place at the Multiversity Room (near the Boardmore theatre entrance) at Cape Breton University at 6:30 p.m.
