Ac­cused elects Supreme Court trial

SYD­NEY — A 26-year-old North Syd­ney man has elected a Supreme Court judge and jury trial on sex of­fences.

Robert Al­lan Rose of Pleas­ant Street is charged with two counts of sex­ual as­sault, two counts of sex­ual in­ter­fer­ence, and sin­gle counts of in­vi­ta­tion to sex­ual touch­ing, sex­ual ex­ploita­tion and com­mit­ting an in­de­cent act (ex­pos­ing his gen­i­tals).

The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred be­tween Fe­bru­ary and Septem­ber in North Syd­ney.

Rose, who con­tin­ues his re­lease on con­di­tions, is to re­turn to provin­cial court Dec. 14 for a pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing on the charges.
